Something other TOTVers could do for others less fortunate. Talk of the Villagers probably are already aware of my attempts to integrate libraries into the social services providers array through links from them for survivors and victims of various kinds of crimes. I have been trying to get the Sumter and Marion County Library systems linked to the FL Victim Services Directory for the past few years. I started doing this activism for this particular resource in early 2000 after a Ft. Myers rape crisis center had informed me about this Directory in 1999.
Could you help out people who might at some point become victims/survivors of crimes or have family or friends in that position by suggesting that Sumter County Library System get a link here
http://sumtercountyfl.gov/libraries/links.htm to the FL Victim Services Directory
http://myfloridalegal.com/directory. Here are contact e-mails for the management of Sumter County Library system

I do not even see any kind of useful link array in the Marion County Library System web-site.

Lake County Library System got a link to the FL Victim Service Directory within a few days after I made a suggestion at least around 2006.

Do not think I was successful with getting one back in 2000 + at any Central FL library system when I was doing this work from Palm Harbor, Florida (near St. Petersburg).
Been working on Orange County's Library system
http://www.ocls.info/Virtual/NetLink...esID=12&bhcp=1 as well for a link to the FL Victim Services Directory....

I could really use some help with this. ;D
Wrote several Sumter County librarians as well as the Marion County Library about a link to the FL Victim Services Directory on May 3, 2008 via e-mail. Hope that they will get this link in at these two library systems.
