I came across this same article when in the process of deciding whether to buy batteries for my electric cart or purchase a gas cart. I researched, spoke with many people, tested an AC motor that had a max speed of 27 mph and looked at lithium batteries. Batteries degrade, solar panels on carts offer just a trickle of a charge and traveling distance via battery power is limited, despite claims made by retailers which is misrepresented. Its like the golfer who says I can drive a ball 250 years. Yea maybe the golfer did it once ...once.
