Free day will be available Christmas Day on all the Championship courses; but, remember this, there will probably be a lot of people (grandpa, grandma, son, daughter, grandkids) out there playing that plays very little, if at all, and it will probably be a zoo. There's no telling what kind of condition the greens will be in the next day.
I love free and I love to play golf but will not subject myself to that torture.
