I strongly recommend you take advantage of the lifestyle preview program and check out The Villages for yourself. You will see that the vast majority of villagers have better things to do than talk politics. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I have overheard others having political conversations in The Villages.

If you're looking for well thought out, intelligent discourse addressing the issues confronting the country, you will not find it here. Some the typical threads that demonstrate an intelligent, nuanced command of the issues include: "republicans are mean spirited", "Why are democrats so foolish?", or "republican hypocrites".

Sadly, the political forum is made up of a large number of baiters who are masters at it. They do it for their own pleasure, indeed you could go blind trying to make sense of it all.
