I agree with one caveat: It doesn't matter (or shouldn't) whether you are a neurosurgeon of Ben Carson's ability or the guy who like Ed Norton cleans out the sewers----there is no reason to be a pig and leave a filthy mess. This not only goes for "contractors" but also residents. Based on observing golf course behavior such as not repairing ballmarks, not filling divots, and not raking traps---the "leave it for someone else to do" attitude, it would not be beyond belief that some of the "filthy mess" is created by our own Villagers. And if that is true, what better scapegoat than "the contractors". I made a simple rule in our office---"You plug it, you plunge it", and "Your mother is not her to clean up after you"
