Before The Villages, it was...
- Grosse Pointe, MI
- Fort Knox, KY
- Warren, MI
- St. Clair Shores, MI
- Warren, MI (again!)
- Evansville, IN
- Riverwoods, IL (for a long time)
- Sawyer, MI (a second home that overlaps all of the above and below)
- Mallory Square in The Villages, Florida!
So in 48 years we've had nine homes, some for a little as less than a year and one for 37 years. Our "average" is the typical 5.3 years. I thought calculating our "median" stay in one place might be more definitive, but that only came out 7 years. Should I calculate the standard error of our various residencies to get a true statistical description of our life with houses?
If I asked any of my kids about this question, I know what exactly what their answer would be...
Dad, you have waay too much time on your hands!
