I just read your post and can identify with your wife 100%. I am so sorry to hear of the ordeal you had to go through.
When I left the hospital in Cuenca, Ecuador (must tell everyone my treatment for the month that I was there was EXCELLENT) I was worried how I would get on the plane. I was told not to worry - I would have no steps to walk and would be in a wheel chair.
To make a long story short - I was in a wheel chair up to the flight of steps to get on the plane - then I had to figure out how to make it up the steps.
I wish both of you did not have to go through this ordeal. Just know you are both in my heart and in my prayers.
Speedy recovery to your wife and glad you were able to be with her during this ordeal.
