The comment that you are trying to dissect, that offends you is pretty much describing the liberal on here, and many of them in D.C. You seem to have a problem with the truth, so how can anyone argue with you?

Your first two paragraphs can also be used back at you. I am sure you agree that there was NO compromise by the Democrat controlled congress OR Obama in the first two years. So, your statement is a double bladed sword.

Fox cable news network is the number one cable network in the world, not because ONLY conservatives watch it. If not for liberals getting their information from it, it could not be number one. Liberal, mainstream media is not informational and does not give anything other than a liberal slant. If you don't like the ONE conservative network, then don't watch it. Why should FOX compromise for you? Are you really that naive?

You call yourself a moderate. Fine, that's great. Apparently moderate has a different definition now. Am I allowed an opinion, or does your comment mean that if I don't agree with you, I must be right wing? My opinion is that conservative is the same now as it was forty years ago. Unfortunately, the Republicans in congress are mostly moderate to left leaning, with a sprinkling of new freshmen conservatives. Most Republicans that I know of are RINOs.
Being pro-life is NOT being right wing. As a Christian, it is not optional.
Wanting a smaller government, less expensive is being conservative, not right wing.
Wanting immigration laws that are on the books, enforced is not being right wing.
Wanting a balanced budget is not being right wing, it's being conservative.
Keeping dangerous drugs from children is not being right wing, it's being a responsible adult, usually and mostly coming from the conservative side.
Believing in the Bible is not right wing, it used to be from both the Republican and Democratic side. Communism was ALWAYS our enemy.
Believing that slavery was wrong, is a conservative trait, not Right Wing. And was not endorsed by the left either.

I can go on and on, but I believe you get the idea. Maybe, just maybe you should examine the current state of affairs in this country and think about what makes a fanatic and what is normal and conservative. I do not belong to the Tea Party, but from what I have read, they are both Republican and Democrat with a sprinkling of Independents. From what I read of what they believe, I do not see one issue with what they profess.

Now, if you want an honest debate, which I doubt then why don't you give me an idea what you would define as Liberal versus moderate? In stead of baiting everyone with your attempt to make one comment into a whole thread, a comment that you didn't originate, why don't you do some explaining, instead of crying about how you are misunderstood? It seems like you are trying awfully hard to convince others (or yourself) that you are not liberal. Does anyone care on here where you stand in politics? It's just a conversation related to politics, not a resume'.

I am laughing at you. You start very post the same way. Although it is totally beneath me, and a total waste of my time, I will show you what an idiot you really are. I don't give a damn what label you want to tag me with, because I will consider the source. "Conversation relating to politics" read the first 3/4 responses in this thread. What conversation would that be?

There was no compromise in Obama's first two years, because it takes both parties to give a little, and the Republicans would not have any of that. He worked hard to get Republicans on board in the AFC, and the only one that would even listen was Olympia Snow from Maine. Obstruction was the name of the game in the first four years of his presidency.

Being called a liberal doesn't bother me at all. The truth as you see it isn't the truth in the real world. I could be wrong, but I don't remember word one about my political beliefs as being liberal, conservative, or far right or left.

Reagan was a conservative Republicans looked up to. Now, he would be considered a moderate due to his working with the Democrats to get things done. Republicans that want government to work by working with the other party are RINOs. They are realists. You are not going to get your way 100% of the time in a two party system.

Concerning Fox News, they call all the other news organizations the liberal press. Maybe they are number one, because, in their words, they have no competition for the Republican viewers. The problem that I have with Fox News is if you are going to say that you are "fair and balanced", then act that way. Is that being naïve? "Fair and balanced" has no meaning. I have said it many times the only news program I watch is Morning Joe. You know Joe Scarborough, the RINO. You will get both sides of an issue there. At the gym, and dentist office, I have to watch Fox News, and I go away shaking my head all the time.

Wanting a balanced budget isn't the sole goal of the far right or the Republican party. It is the goal of both parties. The problem is on how to get there. When you sign a pledge that you will not raise taxes, that trumps your belief of getting a balanced budget. The Democrats will not allow you to cut social programs, and social programs only to get to a balanced budget. Wanting a balanced budget, and being totally inflexible on how to get there is stupidity of the highest order.

Who the hell wants dangerous drugs in the hands of children? Where did this come from? The Bible, Communism, and slavery when have they recently ever become an issue?

Concerning immigration, deporting all illegal immigrants is a right wing belief with some conservative, and moderate followers. The bipartisan Senate bill gave a path to citizenship for the illegals as long as they followed the steps in the law. The Senate bill was not brought to the floor by Boehner, because of the Hastert rule. The far right was the one that blocked the bill going to the floor for a vote.

Isn't helping the less fortunate a Christian belief? Then, why are social programs that help the less fortunate the first ones on the chocking block to go?

I am not trying to convince people of anything. If they think that only their views are correct, then they won't listen to a word that I say. There is a world that exist outside of their bubble. Whether they want to believe it or not is totally up to them. In any case, I really don't give a damn.
