The one thing that may be in dispute is marriage being between a man and a woman. I am from Mass. almost the birthplace on gay marriage. The Mass. State legislature stopped the initial petition to cancel gay marriage, because they knew Mass. citizens would have vote the law out. Then, gay marriage took off in other states. So, Mass. took a pat on the back for a job well done. I could care less about gay rights. When you feel you have the victim of injustice, and now things are starting to go your way, you are going to push real hard not to return to the old ways. I will cut them some slack.
I don't think that most people put conservatives/moderates in the far right category. These two categories certainly, and rightly so, don't consider themselves as RINOs. The Tea Party, or whatever they call themselves now are the far right. They are getting traction by making a lot of noise. Trump, and Cruz are feeding on this. I can't believe that if either of these two are elected how anything will change in Washington.

Dear Guest:
I believe that many on this forum are here to point counter point on the current issues of the day. Unfortunately we have a few who either like to play the childish game of "dirty dozen"or who clearly suffer a deficit.
I don't like labels on people, in some respects, because they attempt in one word to define a complex human being. so I work hard at labeling each thought or idea streaming from a person separately
As to the gay issue I never viewed it as a civil rights issue and I don't care what people do in their bedrooms . However I do care how this movement is damaging our society everywhere. I do care that they attempt to eliminate gender and I do care that they demanded the definition of marriage be re-defined. Opponents will label me bias, a homophobic etc but its not the person its the act. Gays thrived in corporations to wit look who runs Apple today. No their quest was to demand that their lifestyle be viewed as normal hence their need to re-define marriage. Hollywood et al continue to push this movement into mainstream America because to normalize it is to socialize it and isn't it great to have a gay friend.
conversely I would speak out against anyone who would attempt to humiliated, bully etc
Again the problem with labels are they are too confining. Not all Tea Party members totally believe in all the same things. People join or support an organization because they may find some of what they believe etc.
I am a Catholic but I do not believe everything the Church teaches. Some call it being a cafeteria catholic but I call it reasoning. Finally I attempt to respect other people's opinions
Personal Best Regards:
