OP, I am not sure of the coating system you are talking about, as I thought "cool deck" was much more then just paint as it is highly textured finish, at least ours was.
I an case, be very careful that the final finish has a product called SHARK GRIP mixed with the final coating. This will give you a non slip surface. There have been many cases reported on this site where garages, driveways, lanais and birdcages were 'painted' and the owner ended up with a skating rink where these surfaces were wet.
