Most entertaining Dem debate yet
Nothing much no TV last night, after watching the NFL games. How about my Panthers? So, we decided to watch the great Debate. What a joke, especially on poor O'Malley. The poor guy had to beg for 30 seconds because the whole thing was hijacked by Sanders and his constant rant about Wall St and Campaign funding. Every question was answered with the same old rant, never answering the question. Hillary looked like she was really enjoying the show. She had the most horrifying smile frozen on her face, and her head nodded like a bobblehead on a car dashboard. Sanders was so proud of bragging about his being a Socialist when asked.
O'Malley did get one comment in that they all agreed on and were nodding and smiling as he stated with a puffed chest that "he knew of no hunters that required an AR-15 to hunt deer." He said he was totally against military style weapons for hunting. All I can say to that is that he has missed the boat on the 2nd Amendment. There is nothing in the Constitution that mentions hunting, but there IS something in the 2nd Amendment about a Militia.
Hillary had a great answer whether it was or was not on topic, as most of the time the questions went unanswered by the candidates, especially Sanders. Hillary said that ALL police officers should carry an antidote for Heroine and opiate overdose with them at all times so they could immediately administer it on the scene. Now, I don't know about anyone else listening to her last night, but that struck me as the stupidest, uninformed, ignorant statement I have ever heard. I won't go into how stupid that comment was.
Sanders was forced into commenting on health care once, between rants about Wall St and Campaign financing. He said he wanted the go to provide FREE health care for all. When asked if he would have to raise taxes to pay for it, he insisted that it wasn't so, because everyone would be saving five thousand dollars a year, so if they had a bit more taken from their paycheck, it would not be the same as raising taxes. It would not be a tax, just because it was taken from their paycheck, because they would be saving money. He scoffed at the moderators when they suggested that it sounded like a tax. Every time the moderator asked him a question, he would refuse to answer it, saying they should be asking something else and then would go on a rant like a demented old fool. Hillary was laughing her @ss off watching him take the heat off of her.
O'Malley was so pathetic because they did not want to give him a chance at any questions. He actually begged them "can I have 30 seconds too" like a little child not chosen to play ball with the other kids.
Their idea of dealing with terrorism is to negotiate with them and more understanding. Embrace them and welcome them into the community. When asked about Syria, Sanders said Assad had to go. He said that Assad was responsible for killing thousands of his own people with gas. I wish someone would have asked him about the near half a million that Sadaam killed with poison gas and how he was talking about the mistake of taking Sadaam out. And he did say that it was a mistake taking Sadaam out. When asked if he would have boots on the ground, he certainly not. He would negotiate a peaceful way for Assad to retire.
O'Malley jumped in with his statement that it was not Politically Correct to use the term "boots on the ground." He said that some soldiers mother told him that she did not like the use of the term "boots on the ground."
Once again, they argued on who was the most Socialist, who was going to offer the most free stuff, who was going to stick it to big banks, and how they were going to reform campaign contributions. After Hillary stated that she was going to change the way campaign contributions were done, Sanders did jump in and mention that she had received over $500K for speaking engagements from big business. She had no response to that. She did not like being called out on her hypocrisy.
There was a ton of hate for Republicans on last nights debate, with only O'Malley suggesting that they all need to get along and that he was the one to bring it about. That he did NOT consider the Republicans his enemy....even though he was on the band wagon against everything they represent.
After watching the debate, my wife left the room after telling me that she could not understand how anyone could believe that **** or vote for any one of them. She said, they must think the voter is really stupid to believe anything that they say. I responded that most voters were just uninformed. They don't hear most of this stuff on the mainstream media, and most voters do not want to know how the sausage is made.
I have a friend that once told me that he would never eat a hot dog. I asked him for the reason. He told me that his grandfather owned a hot dog factory and after going to work with him once and seeing how the hot dogs were made, he could never eat one again. The voter wants to consume whatever they can get free from the gov, but do not want to know how it is made. If they knew how bad our national debt really was and how bad our economy is teetering on the brink of the precipice, they would panic. We have a lot of people in our country that feel that it is OK to share in the fruits of others efforts. They do not want to know how the sausage is made or what the ingredients are. They just want to consume it. They do not wish to make the sausage, just want the gov to provide it. The rich have a lot of sausage, and the lazy demand it be confiscated and given to them.
Fact: There is not enough money to pay for all the Free stuff that these candidates want to give away, even if they tax the rich 90%. Isn't anyone interested in how they are going to accomplish all their magic without the money to pay for it? Sanders will tax everyone to pay for his socialized health care. The others won't admit how they plan to pay for it. Hillary says Obamacare is the greatest accomplishment in the history of America.
Any other comments on last night's Democrat debate?
