I had the same problem. It turns out that the rubber gasket that seals between the door frame and the door was the culprit. As it ages, it tends to stick to the door a bit. Try putting the door up and smearing a little vaseline all around the door frame, on the part of the white rubber gasket that contacts the door, when it is down.
