This was an important thing to remember when we all put larger tires on our cars back in the 70's. You might get a speeding ticket because you are going faster than you think.

Yes, the speedometer must be re-calibrated to the larger tire size otherwise it will not display your true speed. This is easy to do on all digital speedometers. Determine the circumference of the larger tires and enter the value into the tire size section of the speedometer.
