After changing my residency to Florida 2 years ago I am very concerned about the violent crime in this state. If you get out of Villages it is a cesspool in many areas. At the risk of sounding racist the overwhelming percentage of this criminal activity is committed by young, black men. After seeing a story from Detroit about a mother of two being shot in the head during an attempted carjacking I see Florida is doing a study on why minorities are stopped more often than whites are for seatbelt violations. I think political correctness has our priorities screwed up. If you are carjacking someone or stealing a car you still need to where your seatbelt.
