It's hard to say where is the best because it really comes down to the skills of the individual masseuse. There's a growing number of massage chains in the country, such Massage Envy, some of which are in or around The Villages. They run in the neighborhood of $75 an hour or $40 for a half-hour. Some of the chains really want you to become a member. This gives you a discount on the massages (such as $60 for an hour) but you agree to pay them for one massage a month for as long as you're a member. If you've never had a professional massage, you might check to see if they have an introductory offer available. You might even tell them what you're looking for in a massage? Light and soothing? Deep and strong? Concentrate on your back or your feet or whatever? Do you have a medical condition you're hoping to alleviate? Let them know as each masseuse is more skilled in some areas than others.

One word of warning. Once you've had a really great massage, you're kind of hooked for life. My wife has been getting at least one massage a month for 25 years or more. She swears by them.
