There are wheat farmers that collect millions from government due to the vast sections of land they own cashing in on tax and farm programs meant for small farms that struggle. Not for millionaires. All farm hand outs are coded with numbers so it's hard to find out who needs it and who stealing it.

Some studies say it cost more to produce corn gas than it's worth. It was based on gas prices 4 dollars gallon or more gallon to even break even, probably closer to 6 dollars gallon.

Brazil has good sugar gas program due to the tropical climate and the invest in it decades ago. But, due to policies and under the table dealings (standard oil) with Henry ford corn gas got cut due to waste product of kerosene. IMO any government funded or subtilized program must at least break even or it looses its funding.
