For once, I agree with you, chi.
But, not all of our wives were involved in the above. Many were attempting to keep the house together by working at low paying jobs during the 60-70's. The statement made by the poster was about the 50's. During that period of time, women were held in pretty high regard, and were the cement that held the families together. They received a lot more respect than they are now. Today, if you treat a woman with the respect they deserve, they think you might be hitting on them, or they feel that you are being condescending. I am generalizing, of course and speaking mostly of the younger generation, not our seniors.
But, we went pretty far away from the original post regarding Trumps vulgar language. If we spoke of the 50's and such language, it would not be tolerated and would be immediately censored.
