They will thicken up the more you trim them during the growing season, if you don't let them go too long between trimmings. I did in fact cut them really low, and would like them even lower. I'm not sure they were a wise choice to be planted in front of windows. I might try cutting them even more, unless you think it's too soon. Thank you so much for your input.
