Only WWII had anything to do with protecting America. So, your "service" had nothing to do with "losing" America to "the enemy".

This is a line, or series of lines oft used.
It may be true but you cannot state it as an absolute...if we don't help the UN stop N Korea ? If we do not stop the civil war in Nam ?. If we do not stop Hussein, again in support of UN resolutions ?.
Point is many of our people died supporting UN action, not unilateral as you suggest by omission.
Allow me just to add because it is timely....Donald Trump was bragging on the radio and in writing. About screwing other folks wife while he was married at the same time as John McCain was being tortured. He then called McCain a loser because he was captured.
Whether you agreed or disagreed on Nam (for reference, a great friend died in my arms in the mud of Nam), Trump's comment seem to not matter to Trump supporters. It does to me.
