We, the middle class did not look out for our children. We let this happen.
The children have just as much opportunity to succeed as we did. There is nothing stopping them except more regulations, permits and licenses requirements. The problem with today's children is that they have been given everything, and now they expect it and think that it is owed to them. The children of today have much more and did less to get it than we did. What percentage of them take part-time jobs after school compared to us? How many will work their way through college, like us? But, I refuse to take credit for their debt that we DID leave for them. I didn't spend that money frivolously and I did not get gov hand outs to get where I am today. They are the ones that are borrowing in order to live above their means also. I didn't have more than one TV in my house until 2008. I didn't have to have a new car when I could only afford a used one. I didn't take vacations when I didn't have the extra money to do so. If I took off, it was to work around the house.

These kids don't have it hard. They make it hard by not using their heads and preparing for their retirement. If they don't have Social Security, it is because no one will let congress modify it and cry if they make the slightest change to the age to qualify for it.

The reason there are plenty of wealthy and fewer middle class is not because of the wealthy. It's because there are fewer middle class jobs because the government is getting more and more greedy, expecting the top earners to pay for their frivolous spending. Allowing someone to be on unemployment for two years is stupid. Penalizing small business with Obamacare requirements is stupid. The gov is responsible for the stagnation of our economy, not the wealthy.
