If it happens again then just call the VCDD and let them know what happened and what you have done to correct the problem. The VCDD will contact this person and issue a warning. If that doesn't work then they will pay a fine.

We've had the issue and asked those who do not respect others property. We've had people rant and rave about the villages being dog friendly and that means their dogs can do their business where they want(wrong). We've had them tell us that part of our lawn is a legal right of way and they can let their dog use it as their bathroom(wrong). The right of way part of every lawn is for the utilities to gain access to pipes, cables and such for repairs. You pay the taxes right up to the curbing and are required to keep it looking neat.

Having lived from Hawaii, to California, Maine, Virginia, N. Carolina, Florida and Japan this is the only place where the "Entitled" feel that what's yours is theirs and what's theirs is theirs.

Gracie girl...love your posts...usually...you're completely wrong on this issue...you own a dog???

My nephew Crosby is a dog. He is a Golden Retriever. I also have other dog friends. Here is a picture, the first water color I painted a little over a year ago of my nephew Crosby. I will tell him you think I am completely wrong on this issue. What did I say that you disagreed with? I think people should be thoughtful. Crosby's mom doesn't let him go on others yards.
