Pensions: For CEOs Only
This happened to me when my company was taken over by Danaher Corporation. Pension plan frozen and Retiree Healthcare gutted. Those are thing we worked at a lower rate of pay for years because we were told we could count on those things.
Fortunately I filled my 401K to max ..... I am ok but others not so much.
Perhaps someday you will begin to understand Corporations are NOT people and they do NOT care about their employees. |

Are you kidding? You are, right? You don't ENROLL in SS and Medicare, they forcibly take it out of each pay check, whether you want it or not. Just because some are dependent on it, does not make it good. Some folks are addicted/dependent on drugs too. Does that make drugs good?

If not for corporations, there would be NO middle class. I have been to many countries, and lived overseas more than I have lived here in the U.S. In socialist countries, there really isn't any middle class in comparison to ours. They have an elite upper class and a giant lower class. Our lower class folks live as well as their supposed middle class.
Are you saying that other folks aren't as smart as you because you thought ahead to fill up a 401K and they didn't? It seems that you worked at that business because you chose to. You know the saying $h.t happens?

Perhaps someday you will understand that it is not a Constitutional mandate for the gov to babysit you and ensure that you have a great lifestyle. There are no promises in life, and I would think that an adult would understand that. You are an adult, I presume?
