It could be dehydration/electrolytes loss. It could be a lack of potassium . It could be a side affect of a prescription drug. It could be you need to stretch the muscles in your legs.
As we age the legs are the first to go. I dehydrate easily so drink plenty but add about 2-4 oz of power aide to my water/ lemon-aide, etc to build up electrolytes. the formula of taking body weight and dividing by 2 is right except you should also consider that many foods also offer juices that provide fluid content. To determine if you are dehydrating often check the color of your urine. If its dark yellow then you are dehydrating. If it is clear like water you are over hydrated. the ideal color should be a light /pale yellow
I work my core and lower body because if I fall down I want to be able to get back up on my own
After visiting a doctor and with his/her permission I would begin to exercise your legs, etc.
