If you are a veteran, you cannot get a VA ID card if you don't have some service related disability or if you have too much income.
This discriminates against veterans who managed to do well enough with their lives after serving our country to have some financial security.
Any of us who served should not be discriminated against.

Actually you are Wrong with your accusation regarding Lowe's 10% discount to Veterans. It is spelled out and is Crystal Clear on what is needed to qualify for the 10% discount that is offered by Lowe's and Home Depot on there web site.
1) To qualify you must be currently serving in, or retired from a qualifying branch of the Armed Forces or be a member of someone who is and have a valid Military ID card... Of course dependents of active duty and retired military qualify for the 10% discount all they need to do is produce it at the time of purchase.
2) Be a Veteran who receives VA Benefits and have a valid Veteran Identification Card ... ( VC )....
3) Now on certain Holiday times of the year they " Lowes " and " Home Depot " extend this 10% discount to all Veterans...Memorial Day...July 4th...and Veterans Day...
4) Finally Lowe's or Home Depot are Not Discriminating against you or any Veteran however, that is their policy..not any different then " It's in the Regulations " .. You simply do not qualify.
