[QUOTE=Chi-Town;1214648]Curious of what your friend will do with the feral cat once caught. The chances of it becoming a house pet are almost nil. A no kill shelter is an option, but I doubt the cat wants to spend the rest of its life in a cage.
Who says?
We have rescued feral cats and although it takes a long time, they have all become loving pets and found homes. We have one now. She is shy and reticent but very loving. She hides when strangers come in but that's nota big problem. She took six months, the last one eight months but we travelled much more so it was difficult for him with all the car trips. Expect them to hide for the first month but they will sneak out at night to eat and all ours immediately used a litterbox. I think having another cat in the house helped train them. We've had cats all our lives so we have no fear or hesitation around them and I believe they sense both that and our goodwill towards them.
