Thanks to all the welcoming committee!! Brightspot, I was born and raised 20 miles south of Lafayette so am familiar with Hebert's Specialty Meats in Maurice. I go thru that small community to get to my hometown. I plan to make a trip there for my 50th (GOSH) high school class reunion in October. I just stopped in there a month ago when I went home to say goodbye to siblings and bought the bonless chicken with cornbread and rice dressing. I bought 2 of each to bring down to my friend who lives here. Also brought boudin and hog head cheese for her. I am not a huge fan of hog head cheese but the boudin is to die for. Can't have that without the cracklings (fried skin). Can't eat it much because of the fat content and my high chlosterol. What time at Crispers? Can't wait to meet you all.
