A good friend also had an adorable dachshund. The pup was paralyzed like your little guy. It was very hard on her. She had a lift sling that she would put under him so she could take him outside. He had no bowel or bladder control and wore diapers in the house.
I didn't respond only because I know how difficult it will be to take care of this little one.....however I applaud your courage if you do. It will be hard and you will be one of the few blessed ones that take on such a task.

Our 2 "girls" are rescued; they have an undeniable love for us. Don't know their past - don't want to know. I just know that they, along with my wife, have been bright spots during some dark times of my life the last couple of years.
