Homophobic? Self righteous? Really? All I did was kiddingly apply progressive ideology onto a Republican candidate. Is it that I struck too close to a progressive's home allowing them to see the folly of such ideology?

I hold great compassion for people who are experiencing emotional/mental
pain> However encouraging reckless and needless behavior is not a remedy and it does more harm than good. I doubt seriously that an expert would encourage people suffering from gender identification to continue to delude themselves by using the wrong bathroom. Suppose some person self identifies as Napoleon would an expert encourage such a person to dress and act like Napoleon? Of course not..

What progressive are doing in my view is cruel and very damaging because progressive's ideology will never let them admit they are wrong.

You really want to help, demand your congressional legislatures increase the budget needed to provide the essential mental health services these people desperately need. Demand from these same congressional representatives that the mental health laws be changed so that the one and perhaps only support system many of them have "family"are no longer barred from being included in their treatment, etc . Demand from congressional leaders that appropriate punishment apply to mental health workers who abuse their patients. Spread the word that a mental disability is no different than a physical disability and tear away the stigma that has pervaded this illness since the beginning of time. medical people use electric shock to stimulate the heart and they use electric shock to stimulate the brain... an organ's an organ.

If progressives relly want to help then be progressive but progressives actions to date on social issues always seem to result in regressive behavior. come to think of it the same results are seen economically, defense and with foreign policy.
