Very interesting . Just happens that my " Myers Briggs " results over the decades always comes up aligned with the attributes you describe above however my politics since age 18 have always aligned with the Republicans .
Also I was raised in a Blue Collar Catholic family . My Dad was a Union Official in his local and my Mom held local office as a Dem .
They had 4 children . All went to college and paid for 100% of it themselves . All 4 went on to a Graduate Degree . One is a Teacher , one became a Chief Executive Officer of a publicly traded company , one became a senior executive of a publicly traded financial institution , one became an engineer and a senior manager in a technology company .
Yet unbeknown to one another until recently , all 4 of us at age 18 became and remain registered Republicans . This simple example of one family blows apart your high tone theory that the " thinking and highly educated citizens " among us will gravitate to the D-Party .
