Best thing to do IF you are with your family is to check the restroom out before they enter. Stand at the entrance while they are inside and do not permit he/she's from entering by blocking the entrance until they are finished. If they are smart, they will either wait or the can take a counseling session. If they are smart, they will wait. We have to protect our families because their aren't enough COPs to go around.
