I have the original disc that I installed windows 7 with for this laptop.
I entered it and it came back stating I could not use that product key and to either try again or get a different key code.
I did try again. Same message.
I could not find anything helpfull on the Microsoft site or google that adresses this issue.
The only thing I can think of is some time ago I did download windows 10 and it did activate. After a few days I decided to go back to windows 7.
I am not sure if this would have an effect or not. It should not if microsoft tracks the installations and such.
The window states that "...Windows is not activated on this computer..." Exit set up and activate windows......????? I have been using windows 7 on this laptop for years with the key code I have tried.
Above my abilities and soon to be tried patience!
Any suggestions are appreciated.
