If you want banquet service, call the banquet manager and make a reservation so they can be properly staffed AND have the group seated where their noise doesn't make it impossible for everyone else to have a conversation.

I've often wondered why it's important for large groups to sit together. I must have a missing gene. Since you can only talk to a few people surrounding you without yelling, doesn't it make sense to get a round table for 4 and split up the group? But I guess that doesn't necessarily solve the problem of a long wait time.
