Chihuahuas can be unpredictable especially if they are experiencing pain of some kind. Because they are so small too I think they have to give their families the impression that they are the boss.
Chihuahua mixes can be different because they can be quite a bit larger and not suffer from various breed maladies.
I have actually met more chihuahuas in the Villages that scare me more than most of the pit bull mixes but there have been a few exceptions like Harlow who I believe is a pit bull boxer mix.
