I have really only got to know one pit bull mix at Doggie Doo Run Run and the owner showers love on Jade and controls her very well. It does depend on how much time and attention you put into the dog.
Our neighbor in Palm Harbor, Florida treated his pit bulls very badly but the animal control people who treated one of their wounds-- after he dragged her/him on the road while trying to exercise it-- said that these two dogs were very friendly even if one was hurt.
