Over six years ago, my wife and I wondered the same thing about the heat and humidity in Florida in summer. We took our home buying trip in late July just to see if it was too bad or what.

We found that the St. Augustine area was too humid. We found The Villages to be less humid than the Washington DC area and actually felt not quite as hot.

Sure, it is hot but we golf early, enjoy the pool, love the squares, stay hydrated, and everything is air conditioned. Summer is a great time in The Villages.

Don't rely only on what TOTV says. Rent for a month, do activities, and see for yourselves.
