I am considering buying very soon and the stock answer seems to be 'air conditioning'. However I would not like to confine myself to indoor activities in the summer. Especially when I have to walk my dog in the afternoon hours.
So please tell if the heat and humidity can be tolerated during the summer months.
Thank you! Marvin Horlick
It takes a while to acclimate but you do learn what works for you. A big shade tree and the house facing in the right direction helps. We walk in the morning and later in the afternoon and early evening and love it. We don't stay huddled inside. One help is our Lasko Misting Machine. It's a little contraption, not expensive that attaches to A hose and creates a very fine mist if we want to sit out on a very hot day. We also have one that fits around our patio umbrella. We don't get wet per se, just cool. We tend to use it when company comes over and love it.
