Every market in a capitalist system becomes efficient in the long run . Politicians can legislate wage rates all they want however employers will determine how to deliver quality products which consumers are willing to pay for at the lowest price possible .
So one of the outcomes of legislating a high minimum wage gives rise to the use of more and more machines [ robotics ] to replace menial tasks which normally are performed by entry level employees .
The net result fewer and fewer people who have the chance to start at the bottom and work their way to higher paying jobs once they demonstrate their energy , competence and good employee habits .
