At the helm of each one of these " families " is a person commonly referred to as " Big MaMa " . " Big MaMa " is actually the grandmother of this " family business " . Often she is in her mid to late 30`s .
She acts as the " Chief Executive " of the enterprise . She presides over the pregnancies of her young most often teenage daughters who in turn produce the " babies " so that the amount coming in via welfare checks keep increasing and coming in for decades .
