As to the quote from Deutronomy, I sincerely hope your wife never wears jeans, slacks or shorts since that should make her an abomination in your eyes. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, has a lot of rules and practices no longer followed by most people, such as not eating shellfish or pork. Unless you diligently follow all of the rules and practices of the Bible, don't cherry pick!
