Not sure, I thought it was 22 times but I might be wrong. All I know is when I get an email cancelling all of my future appointments until a future date, I get a rest. I'll ask next time I am in for a donation.

Blanca told me something very interesting yesterday, when they desperately need platelets, they take whole blood from the mobiles and extract the platelets from it. It take 24 pints of whole blood to equal ONE double platelet donation. I didn't realize platelets were that valuable.
