Seems lights and sirens going and Ive seen too many times to count that a car will just turn in front of the emergency vehicle, or continue through an intersection and could care less about the lights and siren.

That's one of my pet peeves, perhaps because Fireboy is a retired fire captain.
In a retirement community, it may be a combination of deteriorating hearing plus having the radio turned up too loud.
It's so simple to give ambulances and fire trucks the room they need to do their important jobs.
