Thank goodness for those guys in "blue" that protect folks like you from folks that would otherwise have to enforce the law themselves. And you would not wish that to happen.

In the past when I needed one (burglary), they were worthless, did nothing and I am the one who found some of my property at a pawn shop. Again, unless there are HUGE changes in law enforcement on a whole, they need not wonder why not many of us respect them.
Your analogy as to running stop signs in the villages - puleeze...(then again, I NEVER carry a driver license on my cart and rarely carry the Resident ID)...crime is RAMPANT and they are busy messing with people for tickets so they can fund their budgets.
Oh, and when the cops pilfer our lounge areas, steal our food and take anything down to a bath towel as their own...well, who do we call? The Sheriff who is in jail?
