Re: Finished first visit to TV
Our final decision of where to locate finally came down to this...
Is the cold in the winter in the mountains of North Carolina (our other retirement option) better or worse than the heat in the summer in central Florida? Which location would we feel a need to stay in the house more vs. feel uncomfortable outside?
Right now, we're on the Florida panhandle coast along the Gulf of Mexico where the winters are mild but the summers, day and night, are hot and humid.
We determined that winters, both night and day in NC would often be unpleasantly cold. On the other hand, while the central Florida days are hot, the inland location cools down somewhat at night to fairly pleasant levels, unlike along the Gulf coast where the nights stay very warm.
We'll be permanant residents by July...look us up.
