What you think customers like or don't like is irrelevant. The gain, as I already pointed out, is to pad the number of installs and increase their telemetry. Most people will be unaware of the fact that Windows 10 will increase the amount of telemetry collected and therefore unaware that they can turn it off. This is clearly what Microsoft is counting on. The fact that it breaks functionality for some people is apparently no concern. The very definition of bad customer service. Please stop trying to defend this sort of behavior - nobody else pulls this crap.
