My wife and I are also planning to move to TV. Based on information we found here at TOTV, I would personally not go anywhere near the railroad tracks. My understanding is that they are noisy and the rail traffic will be increasing over the next few years. Based on where you said you were looking, it would put you just east the tracks that parallel route US301. Google map the are you are thinking about and you will see just how close you will be to the tracks. Good luck on your future move.
