Any one else watch the Ken Burn's series
The War? What made me think of it was how it chronicled in one or more segments how the Japanese-Americans were treated during WWII. A lot of this was often based on what their surnames were.
There seemed to be several battalions of Japanese-Americans who went way beyond the call of duty and show great courage in several engagements.

I do not think it should matter what someone's middle name or surname is when judging his or her character.
