It's cheeper to cool a home here then to heat one in brutal winters up north if that helps. Also everyone here is a transplant and pretty much very supportive. You can be as involved or as little as you'd like to be. Personally I've had enough snow to last a lifetime. Oh and we do get seasons here just not as extreme as up north. The birds fly north in the summer and winter here. I personally love the sound of the breeze in the palm trees. Find it can be as relaxing as the sounds of the Ocean. It does get a bit more crowded in winter and they're still building so more people for sure. Good luck with your decision.
