You have received good advice.
1. Do things first thing in the morning or later at night.
2. Stay hydrated by drinking 8 to 10 8 Oz glasses of water.
3. Spending a month or two in TV, July and August.
4. Do things indoors at the hottest time, of the day.
5. Beats dealing with the snow.
Only you can decide what you tolerate. All in all, the living here, is a lot easier here, than in Long Island. IMHO
Only you can decide if the heat is too much for you. Your valid concern, is over three months, or so. The other nine months, it's beautiful.
A friend of mine asked, "why do want to live in Florida, the summers are too hot". I replied, "I never seen you having coffee and donuts on your porch in the dead of winter".
