I must agree with my neighbors above. We signed on with Century Link in very early 2016. My biggest negotiation concern was their costs for seasonal residents and was assured it "should be no more than $25 - $30 a month" when we went north for the summer. My first bill was a whopper ($358 for 2.5 months). I bit the bullet because their TV package and internet speed were exactly what we were looking for, and we loved the DVR features and smartphone apps. No two bills after that were the same and discounts appeared then disappeared. Each month was another phone call or two. I knew their reputation with billing, but thought "maybe it won't happen to us". (I'll bet you're smiling now). Anyway, it finally wore me out and we cancelled service. Now we're back looking for cable service for when we return in the fall.
