That sounds like "Abby"...she is a nice dog too. I agree with you 100%. When the dogs are all together in a small area, any barking seems louder, and of course you have the "pack thing" going on and hence the distractions. I believe any rescue could use volunteers to even just walk and show the dogs and Max's group does their best (in the interests of "full disclosure", we are planning to volunteer to help them out when we move full time to the Villages). I have personally had several dogs adopted while walking/playing with them here in Michigan (including a pitbull in Marion County when I volunteered for a dog walk last year while at our home in the Villages) because people could see the dogs and ask questions. We just has a "Min Pin" adopted yesterday by a family with a special needs child. They saw him playing my with dog Buddy, and the son and Rico seemed to take to each other right away. The dog and child were evaluated together with a dog trainer, but I knew it was a match when they first came up and asked me about "Rico", just by seeing the son and Rico interacting. I don't know that "Rico" would have been considered, if they only saw him in a crate as they initially were looking for a larger dog.

Back to the start of the thread.... a "bump" for Lexie
Trayderjoe, you are fantastic people! Thanks for sharing.
